Work Permits
Employment Authorization Document (Form I-766 / EAD) is a general term used to describe a card USCIS issues on form I-766, Employment Authorization Card, to aliens who are authorized to work in the United States. The Card contains a photograph of the individual and sometimes his or her fingerprint. An alien who has an EAD usually has open-market employment authorization, but there are exceptions.

Student Visas
If you wish to pursue full-time academic or vocational studies in the United States, you may be eligible for one of two "Nonimmigrant" student categories. The "F" category is for academic students and the "M" is for vocational students.

If you wish to participate in an exchange program, you may be eligible for the "J" category for exchange visitors. It's for educational and cultural exchange programs.

Citizenship Application
To apply for naturalization, submit (Form N-400), Application for Naturalization.

Before you apply:
you need to be sure that you meet all eligibility requirements. There are also exceptions and accommodations, if you are qualified.

You are not a U.S. citizen until you take the Oath of Allegiance at a naturalization ceremony.

Interview Preparation
You can file many USCIS forms yourself, which can be submitted online.
​However, if you are unsure of the process, or English may not be your first language, you can choose to seek assistance from a Lawyer or an (EOIR)-Accredited Representative.
If you decide to do the process by yourself, USCIS has its own Resource Center, where you may find a publish list of 100 civics questions and answers. Answers may change because of elections or appointments.

Family Sponsorship
U.S. citizen may petition for certain family members to receive either a Green Card, a Fiancé (e) visa or K-3 and/or K-4 visa based on your relationship.
​- You must be either a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder to bring your spouse to live in the U.S. and/or at least 21 years old to petition for your parents.
- The age and marital status of your children are important factors in the immigration process.
- Your fiancé must intend to marry you within 90 days of their entering.

Extension Of Status
You may apply to extend your stay if:

- You were lawfully admitted into the United States with a nonimmigrant visa.
- Your nonimmigrant visa status remains valid.
- You have not committed any crimes that make you ineligible for a visa.
- You have not violated the conditions of your admission.
- Your passport is valid and will remain valid for the duration of your stay.
* You must file a request with USCIS before your authorized stay expires.*
